Travel To Hong Kong With The Hong Kong PAR
The PAR for Hong Kong simplifies the process of preparing to travel to the special administrative region. There is no need to visit an embassy or consulate and visitors can register online from the comfort of their own home or indeed from anywhere in the world.
Once a PAR has been granted, it is valid for 2 months from its date of issue. It can be used for 2 entries into Hong Kong and for stays of 30 days at a time.
After your Hong Kong PAR has been approved, it will be sent directly to the email address provided during the registration process. The confirmed PAR should then be printed out and presented on arrival at the Hong Kong border along with the same identifying documents used during the application.
The document should be presented in good condition. It should remain undamaged, legible and undefaced. If the slip is lost or damaged for any reason it should be reprinted before arrival at the passenger’s chosen Hong Kong port of entry. The PAR document should also be retained for the duration of your trip to Hong Kong.
Please be aware, however, that the PAR does not guarantee entry into Hong Kong. Final discretion rests with the border official on duty at the time and entry is dependent on providing the correct corroborating identifying documents and additional evidence such as valid onward travel details and proof of sufficient funds.
